Tonight, after years of hearing about it, I finally experienced the Rolling Roadshow courtesy of Tim League, who runs the legendary Alamo Drafthouse in Austin Texas. I’ve seen The Godfather Part II more times than I can think of, but never with a crowd. Until tonight. Imagine you’re surrounded by hundreds of people, on a cool windy night in NYC, right around sunset, getting ready to watch one of the greatest films ever made.

Alamo Drafthouse and the Levi’s® brand present the 2010 Rolling Roadshow, a nationwide tour of free outdoor 35mm screening experiences pairing famous films with the famous locations where they were shot or set. This year, Alamo Drafthouse and Levi’s® have partnered to champion some of cinema’s most celebrated workers.
