The other day, my cousin suggested that I look into Public Service Announcements and I thought that’s an interesting idea. Around 4:45am the other night, I was lying down thinking about things I REALLY care about and I remembered domestic abuse is a theme in a few of the films I’ve written. A light bulb went off, which meant no sleep!
I wrote the script for the PSA right there, and when I woke up, I called and emailed a select group of actresses and asked them would they like to be apart of it, and luckily, they all said yes and now we’re all set to shoot within the next few days. I’m so shocked it’s coming together this fast, but I’m excited because we’re in a position where we can connect with with people and hopefully make a difference. If 1 person sees what we’ve made, and decides she’s had enough & picks up the phone, it will all be worth it.
Whether it’s through PSA’s or films, my goal is to always connect with YOU. This is why I love filmmaking.
